Air Jordan 5

The Air Jordan 5, designed by Tinker Hatfield and released in 1990, draws inspiration from World War II fighter planes, evident in its shark-tooth midsole design. The shoe features elements from its predecessors, like breathable panels and an asymmetrical collar, but introduced several innovations, including a clear outsole, a reflective tongue, and a lace lock. Among its original four colorways, only the Fire Red showcased MJ’s number on the heel, though most modern Retro releases do. The Air Jordan 5 is known for its comfort, durability, and exceptional grip, making it a standout choice for both style and performance.
